Finca Huehuetepan is located at 1,350 meters above sea level, in the Municipality of Cosautlán de Carvajal, Veracruz. It has been in the family for 4 generations. It is mostly Typica variety and measures approximately 23 hectares.

10 years ago, Carlos began dividing the coffee that was produced on the farm, and adding new varieties. Washed was the only process they would do. 3 years ago, with the help of a friend from Taiwan, they began processing naturals and honeys, which in the last 2 years and based on experimentation, have reached the level of what is being exported today. Processes with more measurements and prolonged fermentations.

This year, due to experimentation, not many batches of the Typica variety came out, but we did achieve some of higher quality, such as the Cup of Excellence lot.

On the farm, work has been done with new genetic materials such as the Gesha and Pacamara varieties, which will be available in the coming years in addition to the Typica variety. Experiments have been carried out with other varieties that have adapted very well to the land and climatic conditions and which have also shown good results in terms of quality.

In the future, the idea is to further stabilize the processes depending on the variety and trying to have larger batches.
