Counterpart Coffee - Israel Ramirez (340g)
1950
This coffee is grown in the Mataquescuintla region of Guatemala at an elevation of 1800 metres by Israel Ramirez. The result is a complex cup with notes of chocolate, hazelnut, and a little bit of cherry sweetness. This coffee is very friendly as a straight espresso and as a latte/cappuccino drink with its light roast and just enough development for a balanced cup.
The farmers and locals in this area have long been resisting a mining project from the now Canadian company Pan American Silver. When asked the best way for Canadian roasters to support their efforts at resistance, their response was continued support through buying their coffee.
