Caffè Artigiano - Private Reserve Espresso (340g)
- Origin: Blend - Colombia, Brazil, Ethiopia
- Tasting Notes: cocoa, roasted nuts, caramel, blackberries
- Roast Level: medium-dark
The backbone of our coffee menu is this Northern Italian Style Espresso, which we proudly serve at every Artigiano cafe. Drawing inspiration from the Italian coffee tradition, we source coffees from the Americas, South Asia and East Africa to craft this syrupy sweet espresso with a classic profile of cocoa, and roasted nuts. While the Private Reserve brews an exceptional espresso, the subtle nuances and complexity of the blend can be enjoyed brewed as a filter coffee as well.

More Medium than dark
My tastes run to darker roasts but this is solidly into Medium roast territory, with more fruity tones & citrus than dark chocolate or dare I say, coffee. For those seeking fruit in the cup, this might be a good choice; but for us Philistines who like a more traditional Italian espresso, this misses the mark. (Interesting to note that this Medium-Dark bean is much lighter than the Cafe D’Arte Parioli which is listed as a medium roast on this site.)

Hi Evan, Thank you for the review! With so many coffees, it can be tricky to find that perfect cup :)
